Kaitlyn is walking (and I missed it)

Kaitlyn took her first steps last night. She stood completely unaided, then took 4 steps on her own. They were actual steps, one at a time. Unlike what she usually does, half running and tripping over most of the time, when she is not holding onto something. She's a very cautious girl, and still does NOT like having to walk without holding onto at least someone's pinky. Well, I'd say she's walking now. :D I was in the shower, and missed it too. I saw it when we asked her to do it again, and she reluctantly did a few steps for me.

And she's very vocal now. She babbles and "talks" all the time. Like last night, we kept asking her to walk on her own and she got a bit annoyed I think. She "ran" into Brett's arms and babbled for a good 5 minutes. We couldn't understand what she was saying, but from the way she was talking and her expressions, I think she was complaining about her "treatment" of being made to walk. Very cute...

She knows a few of her body parts and would point them out for us. She also points at things when we ask them where they are, such as her photos, birds, books, etc. She learned a new word: Rabbit.
